Who we are
Since 1982, J. Bert Freeman has been facilitating, coaching, lecturing and instructing organizations and individuals
in performance potential, communication skills, leadership consistency and diversity. As a result of co-creating a youth leadership
program at the University of N. C. at Wilmington in the mid-1980s, J. Bert Freeman led the development of a learning performance survey
for youth and adult participants. Survey results showed him the need for more positive communication in everyday experiences. Thus,
he created the skills of Verbal POSITIVE APPROACH™ and founded T.A.L.K. Associates in 1987. He is currently the CEO. In the early
1990’s, Verbal POSITIVE APPROACH evolved into Consistent Positive Direction™, yet a higher dimension of human interaction. Consistent
Positive Direction is described as speaking, writing, learning and impacting reality in the direction of the outcomes or successes
that are required or desired. He is the author of Taking Charge of Your Positive Direction, Your Positive Direction NOW, Maximizing
Workplace Respect (EBook), and The Organizational ESP Performance Development Manual. As a positive direction speaker, he has fascinated
audiences and organizations by showing them how to use the intensity, persuasiveness, wisdom and versatility of Consistent Positive
Direction in everything they do.

Associates have provided expert assistance, seminars, courses, experiential learning, longer term projects and coaching for organizations to accelerate progress and master positive direction. The T.A.L.K. Associates team includes independent resident specialists and facilitators.
